Who We Are

Partners for Prevention (P4P) is dedicated to reducing substance abuse among Wyoming County youth.  We are a prevention program sponsored by the Mental Health Department and funded by the New York State Office of Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Services (OASAS) along with Wyoming County.  Most importantly, we are a coalition of caring individuals who are devoted to the health and well-being of our children, families, schools, and communities.

Our November Coalition Meeting included a presentation by Ellen Denizard and Emily Foschio of Roswell Park Cancer Institute on Evidence Basted Treatment, including Nicotine Replacement Therapy, the "5 A's", and Motivational Interviewing. This valuable information will help our coalition members spread the word within our communities about different smoking cessation techniques.
